ANDREIA CHAVES

Although I am all for structural Nicholas Kirkwood's like every other girl who salivates for shoes,

I wouldn't mind going a sci-fi notch higher with these "invisible" shoes. Imagine all those mirrors reflecting the surroundings. Wouldn't that be like floating with no feet? So. Cool.
"Native to San Paulo, Brazil, shoe-lady Andreia Chaves derives inspiration from the chaos and structure of her hometown, and visual puns from the likes of Maison Martin Margiela, Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto, and Issey Miyake."
I want.

She also has velcro strapped antenna/skeletal appendage shoes.

And egg slicers one. If not the Origami. Lovely. I like all. Di ako choosy.

COCO DUFFEL

Who would have thought that I'd see this here in Cebu, of all places in a hospital. There is style hope in the province after all!! Ugh, sorry, blogger instinct did not at all kick in at 11am walking out of the doctors office. About to get inside the car when I spotted this girl with the Alexander Wang Studded Bottom Coco Duffel. Though at least I had the small window of time to say "nice bag, is that an Alexander Wang?" haha. Well, that smile she had that I recognized her arm candy was enough i guess. I love obscure unscreaming handbags that only those in the know, know. So it was to much anguish and a Head to wall moment that I seriously regretted not taking a photo of her. Well, if anyone knows her, can you tell her i want a snapazoid of her and her bag, complete with her espadrilles, floral tunic and plaited hair. Hmp.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I feel like how R looks like right now. Haven't been feeling the cheer honestly, so my greeting comes 3 days late. At least its early for the New Year. Happy Holidays guys.

xoxo

ADIDAS X STAR WARS

I can almost hear the *dun dun dun dun Du-Dun dun Du-Dun* theme in my head! I'm such a geek coz I love Star Wars, or any sci-fi for that matter. I think the products look cool because there's a thematic backdrop on it, but then left on a plain white background, I wouldn't look at them twice. Wot do you reckon?

THE SYQUIA PARTY 2009

It's become our tradition, The Syquia Party. 4th Year now. Thank goodness we had the lights on this time. The difference this year? There was a queue at the lobby, where entrance was even stricter than velvet rope access to clubs. If your name wasn't printed on THE guest list. Sorry. No entry.
And its easy to understand why its the party to be in on the first Saturday of December, open units, with each apartment offering unlimited booze and their own individual party with music and DJs. It's like a building housing small clubs with different genres of ear candy. And the demographics? An eclectic mix of young and old, Pinoys and afams, artists and corporates, creatives and the normies. Interesting people. And with the copious amount of alcohol intake, everyones pretty much friends.

Blue lights and DJ Caliph8 at Carlos's.

I first saw Jim in Wynn Wynn's launch of her Ages collection in Firma. And I never forgot his outfit: an orange exaggerated collar shirt accessorized with his gigantic cross pendant paired with metallic earth colored trousers. And shoes that sort of looked like it could kill. And the only thought in my mind was, KARAKTER! loveeet. Wasn't able to take a photo that time, but when I saw him last night, ay. naman. Wa na wasting time, went up to him and asked him straight out if i could do some snapparazzi.

I think he looks like an elegant vampire with the red and blacks.

Quilted waistcoat and brocade trousers. Both bespoke.

And fabulous rings, he collects them.

And shoes that could kill. Even the monkey doorstop agrees.

Vintage florals at number 32.

And afams that take their shirt off to show off their ink.

And on the other side too.

Bumped into CZ. Tried taking her photo (siguro mga 5 standing ones) but it was all blurred!
CZ: This has been our tradition, we always take each others photos here, same spot, same apartment.
DC: Oo nga.
CZ: Pero my photos are clear, sa yo ang labo. Magpalit ka na ng camera girl!
DC: Nyaha. Trots. Ay, talaga, Next time.

But, This one sitting down and candid was a bit clearer. Fierce shoes as always.

And this one taken in a brighter spot by her Dr. friend. Thanks CZ! Hehe.
"All the cool girls smoke."

"I wake up every morning and thank God for my ability to accessorize."

Mich, back from London.

AC.

And some afam wanting to try on AC's denim vest.

Testing to see if he can fly. Hahaha.

STYLISH SIBLINGS

I reckon this photo is too small, sorry! Teehee. Isha of stylebible mentioned that we were yet on another feature in TIC, this one about stylish siblings. I don't know if we should be embarrassed or proud to be in it. We're the only Asians there, right smack in the middle between Mary Kate and Ashley whose #4 and Pixie and Peaches Geldof whose #6. Check it out here >>> TOP TEN STYLISH SIBLINGS

And note to TIC, I think crediting where you got the photos would be highly appreciated by the blogger who shot them. This one was taken by Paolo of lafoliedouce.blogspot

CARY SANTIAGO METROWEAR 2009

Ay. Bunggang bunggah talaga. That's all I can say. My backstage photos of THE show to end all shows. My friend Earl dropped by and took a peek and he almost cried. It was that beautiful. Actually, beautiful is an understatement. AC and I had the opportunity to preview the clothes prior to the show, and even then we were: jawdrop-speechless-oogle eyed-drooling-catch breath-can't speak-i. die.- sort of thing. Even more so last night when it was styled and worn by the models. Congrats Cary, you outdid yourself again! You never fail to blow us mere mortals away.
