Luxe grunge was the theme. Of course I had to go because my anak Anna Canlas was one of the 5 stylists doing the show. Support! Prepped my cam too because I know I'd be taking heaps of photos. Weirdly enough, not a lot of people came in plaid (the go-to signature of Grunge) as well as denim--ripped or otherwise. There were a lot of fur though, crafts (crocheted delicates) and a deluge of hats. Still, it was good fun coz technically I ended up going to three events. 1. The fashion show at the square then 2. Republiq and finally 3. Opus.
So first, style spotting at the Republiq square.
Fur Gilet + bohemian accents = heart
Spotted this too cute Eiffel tower bag that reminded me of SJPs arm candy in SATC.
Paul of OS.
Ces.
Sanya.
Thysz and JP Singson.
How cool is JP's mom? Didn't see her at the actual event but did in stylebible.ph. Ombré shift dress plus booties plus Celine luggage on Tessie Singson.
Sam.
Marita.
Ornussa.
Rosanna.
Camille.
And then to Republiq!!
Thanks Adrianne C! You rock! =)
Dong in his Givenchy kilt. There was a story about that notorious kilt that night but I'd rather not tell.
My anak, Preview's Fashion Assistant and couture sight to hold: Anna Canlas.
Mich and Patrick. As usual, I didn't take a photograph of myself, hence the blurry version of my outfit.
So I grabbed one from stylebible.ph. Alam mo na yown.
And off to Opus!
For an Editor's night out!
Marts!
Liz. I hate you mads coz you're so hot.
Rowr.
Mond.
Mike.
Vince.
Rayms.
Breathing fire.
Thanks B. Love this image.
The end.

hi daryl, i desperately need your help. i am attending a costume party this october with the theme icons of the 20th century, dapat the costume, when people see it, identified kaagad yung icon. i want to come as boy george & i am trying to find the right hat because it isn't a fedora, and it should be something like what you're wearing here! may i PUH-LEESE know where you got it? if you say abroad i'll cry! or maybe point me in the direction where i should look for something like it here in pinas? thanks a lot darlin'!
I've been a silent reader of your blog for the longest time, so being asked for a photo by you was such a shocker haha! Kilig moment of the year. Chos.
Hi Daryl, I discovered your blog through a Top 10 list on Spot.Ph. One click and several blog entries later, I was hooked. I love your photos and the witty commentary. Really wish I had discovered your blog before. Now backtracking through all of your entries.
xoxo,
Kath
Hi Cheryl!
I have to say I'm sorry because yes, I did get it abroad. Locally you can check Zara Men or Topman. Even AC+362 in Greenbelt 5, they have a fine collection of toppers. Goodluck in finding one and I hope it completes your costume!
Chai, it was a pleasure meeting you.
And to dear Kath,
Thank you for dropping by and saying hi. =)
